Great Location, "Luxury Apartments"
My family moved in September 2018. Extremely brand new. Half the complex wasn't even built yet. The neighborhood is super great! Awesome neighbors, Quiet, safe location. No crime of any kind.(except the Pesty tow truck drivers HeeHee). I had a direct access garage so I didn't personally have to worry about that. The parking situation for people HAS and IS a very big concern for all residents. There is NEVER enough parking for residents alone, and trying to have guests is an even bigger joke for parking. The management team takes up the parking spaces up front by the clubhouse, when they should be parking at the frontrunner station and saving the parking spots for the residents that actually pay rent to live there. There is a landscaping company that lives in the complex and it is ridiculous to see 4-5 TRUCKS parked side to side in the spaces( leaving no room for anyone else). UGH!! So, plan on parking a vehicle and never moving it if you would like a space to park.
The pool and hot tub are well maintained and clean. Nice large BBQ for everyone to use. The fitness center and clubhouse are nice and clean. An area with a pool table.
NOW: The reason for the number of stars:
People DO NOT clean up after their animals. WHY? There are doggie stations all around the complex with provided bags. It should not be the responsibility of management, maintenance, or other residents to clean up after other peoples animals. It's pretty sad that no one can use the grass because of this issue. Another thing is: SMOKING ON YOUR PATIO! The lease clearly states that smoking is only allowed 25 feet away from all buildings. People do smoke on their patios. I am not quite sure if this issue has been addressed with management by residents or not because it is a recurring issue.
The apartments are "luxury" except for the walls cracking, the cheap " spray painted" walls, and the cheaper appliances. DO NOT...I repeat...DO NOT hang anything on the walls, not one thing. Not even using command strips, unless you are ok with an entire new paint job when you move out. (which is mandatory, I recently found out).OR so they say! I was ready and prepared for a few places but, the entire apartment! uh-huh ok. Also, DO NOT, DO NOT, DO NOT waste your precious time doing ANY sort of move out cleaning because no matter how many days, or hours you spend YOU DO LOSE YOUR FULL CLEANING DEPOSIT!! also, whether you have a pet or not there is a FULL carpet cleaning fee also. I know I am not perfect, and don't pretend to be but, SERIOUSLY!!!! The costs are close to $400 and that's just the 3 main basics. How can you justify paying $96 a month for just water? VERY expensive living. I recommend if you can actually afford to live here DON'T it cheaper to get a house. This is a nickel and dime you kind of place. RENT, plus, water, sewer, trash that you pay a "convenience fee" of $6.50 to even get that notice every month. Plus your gas, and electric. AND.... if you have a credit on your account DO NOT plan on even getting that back because they will find a way and reason to keep that as well. Don't get me wrong this is a very nice, convenient, place to live but it is expensive. I suppose that is the price you pay for convenience, luxury, and a safe place.
